You will learn how to show and delete gridlines in Google Sheets in this article.
We strongly recommend that you delete the gridlines first when you create a new sheet. This is because the gridlines sometimes make it difficult to draw borders correctly. Imagine you want to draw borders in a color similar to that of the gridline or thin black borders with gridlines on. It’s likely hard to tell if there are borders or not on a certain range of cells then!
Unfortunately, unlike Excel, you can’t change the gridlines’ default style in Google Sheets. However, you can still change the borders’ color on your work sheet. If you are curious, go to this page and learn how to do it: How to Add Borders in Google Sheets
Same as the default style of the gridlines, there is no way to change the default color of the gridlines. You can use border functions instead.
