My report is too large to import

Sometimes a report can become so large that we can't import it, sorry!

Here are 5 solutions

1 - Reduce the size of your report by choosing a shorter date range.

Choose a shorter date range

2 - Reduce the size of your report by adding filters to your report. For example, you can filter a Profit & Loss report by:

  • Account
  • Account type
  • Class
  • Customer/project
  • Location
  • Employee
  • Product/service
  • Supplier/Vendor

Note that the filters you can use varies from report to report.

3 - Limit the number of columns in the report.

If you're trying to import a report that lets you configure the columns, such as a Transaction Detail report, limit the number of columns to only the most necessary ones you need. This will reduce the size of the report.

Remove any columns you don't need from the report to reduce its size

4 - Split your report into multiple smaller reports and import them individually.

This is especially useful if you're trying to import reports such as a Transaction List, Transaction Detail, or General Ledger.
